Resumen del proyecto:
The main objective is to demonstrate the efficiency of an integrated and systemic concept of urban water management with relevant buffering effects to stochastic events, improving the citizens’ life quality. The current urban water system will be reinforced with a structural matrix of elements to accumulate, drain and interconnect renewable water to be tested at a small scale. The urban water-grid will act as the basic structure for the development of the urban green solutions to be deployed in specific locations called “comfort stays”. Thus, the water-grid will act as a cohesive and integrated matrix sustaining and optimising the urban environment, finally maximising the city sustainability and citizens’ wellbeing. Measures will be developed not only in public open spaces, but actions in public and private buildings in the neighbourhood will be also contemplated. The structure will be easily integrable at low scale to allow replicability and foster the city gradual transformation
