ToWards thE CARbon offsEtting in MED (WECAREMED)

WECAREMED project has the ambition to give its valuable contribution to the long-term strategic vision of EU of an economy with net-zero GHG emissions, by implementing a methodology and a tool for calculation of the carbon footprint of MED projects and supporting them in tailored solutions for carbon offsetting. While addressing the Climate Action Goal, WECAREMED would like also to widen the framework of the assessment, proposing to not only a carbon footprint analysis and compensation goal, but also attention to environmental impacts and social benefits for the Mediterranean communities where the ETC projects act.
